The Challenge
How far do I have to cycle?
You and your team will need to cycle as many kilometres as you can during the week to be in with a chance of winning the Tour de Law 2020 title.
What are the dates of the challenge?
The race starts at 6am on Monday 12 October and will end promptly at 6pm on Sunday 18 October. Any rides logged after this won’t be counted.
How will I be able to cycle?
You cycle your way. Whether that’s a road bike or Santander cycle, a static bike at home or in the gym.
How will the teams work?
Get up to 10 of your colleagues together to cycle the furthest, raise the most and compete to be the winning team. There is no maximum to the number of teams one firm can enter.

How do I log my distance on my JustGiving page?
Track your distance travelled using Strava (a free, easy to use app), which can be directly linked to your fundraising page. To do this follow these steps:
- Firstly, ensure you are logged out of your Strava account on your web browser.
- Log in and select ‘view page’. This will take you to your Tour de Law fundraising page.
- At the bottom of the page, click on "edit page".
- You will now see a selection of options, click on "fitness".
- Click on the Strava button and then log into Strava with your login details for your own personal Strava account.
- Authorise the website to connect your fundraising page to your Strava account.
- As you complete your fitness activities on Strava, this will now automatically appear on your fundraising page.
You can add data from Monday 12 up to the 6pm deadline on Sunday 18 October.

Fundraising
Is there a registration fee?
No, we just ask that you fundraise what you can for Breast Cancer Now's world-class research and life-changing support services.
Is there a fundraising target this year?
As fundraising is a crucial part of the Tour de Law competition, we’re encouraging teams to raise as much as possible. We suggest £1,500 per team as a target to aim for.
What are your fundraising tips?
There are plenty of ways your team can become Tour de Law fundraising champions, and we’ve put together a couple of our favourite ideas for you:
- Share your JustGiving page with friends and family and ask them to donate. The more you share your reason for fundraising the more likely people are to give!
- Boost your total by holding some additional fundraising events. Why not check out our favourite at home fundraising ideas for some inspiration?
- Set yourself an additional challenge by encouraging sponsorship with pledges if you reach your targets. Promise to cycle in costume, wax your legs to become more aerodynamic or even take an ice bath after you cycle (with pictures to prove it)!
- Invite friends and colleagues to guess your distance using our sweepstake sheet.
Can I download any fundraising materials?
You can access extra fundraising resources on our website and check out our at home fundraising ideas to boost your donations.
How can I pay in offline donations?
Please try and use your JustGiving page to pay in as many donations as you can. For anything that can't be processed through JustGiving please contact tourdelaw@breastcancernow.org and we’ll get that sorted with you.
